Summer is upon us! Yay! I have to say that I’m pretty excited about this. We have been having a crazy April here in Colorado. It was strange because we were hitting 75 degrees F in February. We saw almost no snow and it was like spring had arrived early. Now that we are in April, we have been all over the place where weather is concerned. It has been beautiful on some days and rainy and snowy on other days.

One thing I love about living in this state though is all of the sunshine we have. We get very little rain here in Colorado (unless it’s April of course). The summers are hot and dry. I love hot and dry, and will take it over rainy and cloudy any day of the week. I’m always looking for ways to beat the heat that doesn’t involved hibernating in my air conditioned living room all day. No…I want to be outside!

I don’t know how many of you guys know this about me, but I am a huge runner. I have been running since my freshman year of high school (which is almost 15 years ago). Oh my. I’m getting old. Anyway, I’m one of those runners that all I think about while I’m running is food. Zach laughs at me because he can’t stomach the sight of food when he’s running, but I become obsessed with it. My mind will start to wander and all I can think about is hamburgers and soda.

It’s weird. I know. I never said that I was a NORMAL runner.

Instead of reaching for that carbonated sugary deliciousness, I will reach for a Nestlé Outshine Bar instead. In all seriousness, they have always been one of my favorite frozen snacks, and things have changed a lot since I first started eating them!

Now there are so many flavors of Nestlé Outshine Bars! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I went to the store and saw all the varieties they have! I have to be honest. I was slightly overwhelmed, but overwhelmed in an amazing kind of way! Recently, I’ve been reaching for the blueberry flavor of their Simply Yogurt Bars. They are made with 100% yogurt and flavored with delicious sweet and tart blueberries. It’s the perfect way to cool down after a long run.

What I love about Nestlé Outshine Bars is that they use simple, honest ingredients that taste as good as they make you feel. They are refreshing from the inside out. In addition to their super yummy Simply Yogurt Bars, I have also been known to stock up on their fruit bars, coconut water bars and fruit and veggie bars!
