Ranch-Style Guacamole

  • 1/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • salt and black pepper
  • 5 ripened avocados peeled, pitted and mashed
  • 2 Roma tomatoes seeds and juice discarded, diced small
  • 1/4 cup red onion diced small
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 jalapeno pepper seeds and stem removed, chopped finely
  • tortilla chips for serving


  • In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, sour cream, buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar and a dash of salt and black pepper until smooth.
  • Add the mashed avocados to the bowl and mix until completely combined and creamy.
  • Next, carefully fold in the tomatoes, red onion, cilantro and jalapeno. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve immediately with tortilla chips.
