Servings: 12 sliders
- 1 12-count package of Hawaiian dinner rolls
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup pepperoni
- 4 tbsp grated parmesan cheese the stuff that comes in the can 😉
- 4 tbsp butter softened
- 2 tbsp minced garlic I used frozen garlic cubes
- 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- fresh oregano and basil for garnish
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Slice the rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom half onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Top the bottom half of the rolls with marinara sauce, provolone cheese, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, 2 tbsp parmesan, and 1 tbsp Italian seasoning (in that order). Top with the top half of the rolls.
Mash the garlic, butter, remaining parmesan, remaining Italian seasoning, and chili flakes. Spread the mixture on top of the rolls. Cover with aluminum foil creating a tent so that the foil isn't touching the top of the rolls. Bake for 10 minutes, and then remove the foil. Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until just slightly brown on top. Keep a close eye. The butter and garlic can quickly go from brown to burnt.
Serve the pizza sliders topped with fresh oregano and/or basil. Enjoy!
