I’m channeling my inner mixologist today and sharing my love for cocktails made with beer. I’m going to be perfectly honest with you guys. I DON’T love cocktails. I don’t love cocktails, that is, unless bourbon is involved. I can down a manhattan in just seconds. Basically if there is bourbon somewhere in the mix I just adore it. This may be why I have a not-so-secret obsession with beer that has been aged in bourbon barrels. These apple, pumpkin beer cocktails are probably the best thing to come out of a shaker glass, and you guys have got to try it this holiday season.
I don’t think this recipe could be posted at a more appropriate time. I mean we are under a week from Halloween, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner.
These apple, pumpkin beer cocktails…oh my…it’s like pumpkin pie and apple pie got together and had a beautiful baby. A baby made up of bourbon, pumpkin ale, apple cider and lemon juice.
Top it off with some cranberries and cinnamon sticks. It’s oh so festive!
I swear to you. It’s like Thanksgiving in a glass.

Thank you so much, Zainab!
YOU are hilarious! The first time I visited your blog and saw your picture I INSTANTLY pegged you for a bourbon-swigger. Obviously! :) But seriously, I don’t know anything about bourbon. I do know, however, that this cocktail looks incredibly fresh and fallish and delicious. I cannot partake until I get this bun out of my oven, but I’m pinning this for January!!!!
Haha, am I that easy read!? Love it! You will certainly deserve it after 9 months! Thank you so much, Meggan!

Thank you so much, Trang! Have a great weekend!
Any idea how I could scale this in a large batch for a party?
Hi Ashalee! Hmm, that’s a good question actually. If you plan on serving it right away, I would just throw all of the ingredients into a large punch bowl, including the beer (minus the ice – serve that on the side). Include the cinnamon sticks and cranberries into the bowl also. It may also be a good idea to through in some club soda into the mix to keep it bubbly. I hope this helps, and let me know if this works!
