As we transition from this little thing we like to call winter into spring, the first thing that comes to mind is fresh seafood. Now, of course you can eat fresh seafood all year round, but I feel like it holds a special place in the warmer months. Wouldn’t you agree? It’s the one thing I miss the most about living on the east coast. You have no idea how much I miss fresh seafood. While it wasn’t insanely hard to find in Colorado, it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to find in Wyoming. There is one type of seafood that we do see, and that is jumbo lump crab meat. Oh sure, it’s about $25.00 for 8 ounces…if you want the really good stuff, but sometimes it’s worth the splurge…and in this case, it was worth the splurge.
This creamy brown butter pasta with sausage and crab is my ode to spring. It is not quite your traditional surf and turf dish, but it still has that surf (crab) and turf (pork sausage) like quality. This is one dish you must add to your weekly menu plans. It’s so simple and so quick to make; and I’m sure your family members will be begging for seconds and thirds!
I hope you guys enjoy this recipe for creamy brown butter pasta with sausage and crab! Pair it with a pilsner and have a wonderful day! xo
