These frozen orange creamsicle cocktails are the perfect way to cool down this summer!
Frozen Orange Creamsicle Cocktail
There’s just something about a nice and refreshing beverage on a hot day. Even if it’s just for a quick relief from the heat, frozen drinks are my favorite. Maybe it’s because they are kind of like having dessert. Whatever the reason, these frozen orange creamsicle cocktails are my latest obsession. This recipe couldn’t be simpler. Simply blend together a combo of gin and triple sec, simple syrup, and your favorite citrus. Orange sherbet and ice bring it all together. Make this recipe for your next BBQ or get together. They are quick and simple to make, and your guests will love them!
Can I use another citrus?
Yes, of course! I personally like tangerines or clementines because they tend to be super juicy any time of year, but you can certainly sub in naval oranges or get crazy with blood oranges. While I think limes and lemons would be pretty delicious, it wouldn’t really be an orange creamsicle, but if you prefer limes or lemons, feel free to try it out!

The mixture seems to be too thin? What do I do?
This is one of those cocktail recipes that can vary in consistency depending on how juicy your citrus might be. Follow the recipe as is, and if you find that it is too thin, add more sherbet or ice. Just keep in mind that you may lose a little bit of the gin flavor with it being diluted by these other ingredients. You can always add more gin if you like. On the other hand, if you find that the mixture is too thick, or so thick that you can’t even drink it out of an (eco-friendly, reusable) straw, add more citrus juice.
Is there a mocktail (alcohol-free) version of this recipe?
You can certainly make this drink alcohol-free. Take away the alcohol and maybe add an equal amount of seltzer water, or just add more juice. It is super refreshing either way!
What kind of glass should I serve this cocktail in?
I’m kind of obsessed with coupe glasses, but they do tend to be dainty and very easily breakable. Use whatever you have on hand, and have a few glass straws on hand! There is no right or wrong way to serve these cocktails. :)
