Let’s keep the game day recipes rolling, shall we? I’m sure you guys have noticed by now how once I get attached to a food idea, I go with it for a couple of days, if not for a couple of weeks. I’m not ashamed. I love that we are in pure football food mode right now. I’m pretty sure I have nightly dreams of dips, wings, and guacamoles galore. It’s all fun though. Next up on this ongoing list of all recipes game day related: this avocado buttermilk ranch dipping sauce paired with Tyson deli wings. Could there be a more perfect match? I think not.
I’m always looking for fun and creative sauces to dip wings into. It’s an amazing ongoing battle I fight on a daily basis.
Blue cheese is probably the most popular, followed closely by ranch. I thought that by putting a fun spin on your traditional ranch dressing would be the perfect compliment to these scrumptious wings. Boy, was I 100% on point with that one.
Making your own dressings and dipping sauces is so easy, you guys. Not only are they easy, but you know exactly what is going into each and every sauce because you’re the one putting it all together! When they are refrigerated and sealed up tightly, homemade dressing and sauces will usually keep for quite a while!
This is a major bonus if I ever heard of one.
This avocado buttermilk ranch is as simple as it gets. A fresh, ripe avocado is thrown into a blender or food processor along with some fresh dill, buttermilk, mayo, Greek yogurt, and a few other super essential ingredients. Pulse it to a creamy, rich perfection and that’s it.
Seriously, that’s it.
I love this sauce on fresh greens, burgers and most of all, Tyson deli wings!
Zach and I are wing specialists. This means that if there are wings on the menu, we usually order them, and it doesn’t stop there either. We are always looking for fun, new ways to prepare them ourselves. Once in a while though, we like to indulge in wings without the fuss. Let’s be honest with ourselves, wings, whether baked or fried, usually require a little bit of time, patience and wing-making skill. That’s why I love stopping by my local Walmart, where they have cooked up the wings themselves; thus leaving me more time to eat them! They have this great thing going on where you can pick up 3 different kinds of wings in their Game Time Pick 3 Bucket for an insanely reasonable price. The boneless general Tso’s, bone-in hot wings, and buffalo boneless are all perfect accompaniments to this avocado buttermilk ranch dipping sauce!
You can find a delicious variety of these wings in the deli section of your local Walmart. Check it out!
You can find the recipe for this creamy and delicious avocado ranch dipping sauce and a couple of spectacular beer pairings below! Have a great Monday, everyone! xoxo
